Painting on a black canvas tends to enhance some colors and make them richer and fuller. I made two small paintings of the same scene as a test for the larger commission piece I had in order to match colors as best I could. I made one with a black canvas and the other with a white one.This scene was done on the black canvas.This painting was done in oils on a 16" x 12" pre-stretched canvas.
