This was not only a commission piece, it was the largest painting I've done to date. The client wanted to design her whole room around the painting so it was slightly intimidating! She gave me a plate with colors of oranges and reds and wanted the colors to match as the plate was the inspiration for the whole thing. The entire painting took me about 15 hours over a 3 day period but I was pretty happy with the result and the client seemed thrilled, so all was good in the end! This painting was done in oils on a 48" x 24" pre-stretched canvas.
