For me, this painting was fun because when I started it, I really had no idea what I wanted to paint. Sometimes, I just let the paintings create themselves in an odd sort of way. I started with a black canvas and had an idea of light shining through trees in the middle of a forest. I wanted it to have a semi-abstract look to it and all I used to paint with was one palette knife and one fan brush. It took me about 2 hours to paint and the end result was "Forest Night". This painting was done in oils on a 16" x 12" pre-stretched canvas.
